Every winter, thousands of whales migrate to Baja's temperate waters to mate and give birth. Among the many visiting species, Humpback, Gray, and Blue whales have the largest migrations. Baja California is renowned for whale watching, and our expeditions offer close, personal encounters with these majestic creatures.
Each whale species winters in different locations, significantly impacting the culture of the destinations we visit. Our expedition will include Los Cabos for viewing Humpback Whales, Magdalena Bay for Gray Whales, and Loreto for Blue Whales. Winter | Spring

This is a top-side photo safari and we will not be entering the water. However we will have an opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful areas of Baja in the presence of our favorite Gentle Giants. Loreto is a beautiful colonial town with a lovely boardwalk along the ocean to watch the sunset and stunning views. San Carlos, our base for Mag Bay, is a remote fishing village, and we will visit the island of Magdalena to view stunning mangroves and sand dunes. Cabo San Lucas is a bustling tourism center and the final destination for many Humpback Whales in their winter migration.
