Scuba and freedivers with over 10 years in the dive and tourism industry. We have joined forces to create Latitude, a company where we can share everything we’ve learned interacting with the ocean. We want to give you the opportunity to experience wildlife in a way you never thought possible. All guides are certified dive masters and federally certified by the mexican Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR). Latitude has certification from the National Tourism Registry.

Meet Mathias, a natural teacher and ocean lover. Before beginning his diving career, Mathias was a teacher in Belgium. The desire to change his lifestyle brought him to the south of Mexico as a dive instructor. There, he guided groups interacting with salt water crocodiles. It was these wildlife encounters that made him realize his love for sharing the water with big animals.
After finding his way to Baja California -the perfect spot for big animal encounters- and with over over 10 years of experience in the diving industry, Mathias makes sure to share his love of the ocean with everyone on board.

Katy Ayres
Dr. Katy Ayres is a marine biologist and National Geographic explorer, as well as freediver and divemaster. Sharks are her speciality, and she is happy to be able to continue and conceive new research projects on board Latitude expeditions. Her expertise guarantees exciting and educational encounters on board.
Jake
Jake was born in England but has made Mexico his home for the last 15 years. He is an experienced guide and has worked all over the peninsula. Jakes loves the ocean and is always ready to have fun out on the water.
Andrés has spent his life working on the ocean, managing dive boats and liveaboards. He expertly navigates to ensure you get the best wildlife sightings and photos while staying safe and having a great time!
